Health First Lake County contract or grant funding is a competitive process and requires that all applications/contracts be open for bid for (30) days. 

Sec. 7. of Senate Bill 4: “Before a local health department may hire or enter into a contract for the provision or administration of core public health services, the local health department shall post the position or contract to the public for at least thirty (30) days”.

All bids and proposals will be reviewed by the Lake County Board of Health and final approval will be awarded by The Lake County Board of Commissioners.

Please note that, given the scheduling of such meetings, applications may take several months under “review”. To submit a proposal and or application or if you have any questions, please submit directly to the HFI Project Manager Michelle Arnold at arnolml@lakecountyin.org.
