Lake County Community Economic Development Department recently completed its draft FY23 Consolidated Plan Annual Performance Report (CAPER).The report contains information concerning the activities undertaken by Lake County, outside of Gary, Hammond and East Chicago, to provide housing and other assistance to low- and moderate-income persons and households during the period of 9/01/23 to 8/31/24.This report will be submitted to the Indianapolis Office of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) after, November 18th, 2024, but no later than November 22nd, 2024.
During the course of the review, an assessment was made of actual performance compared to planned performance as described in the County’s Action Plan.Based upon this assessment HUD will determine if the County’s performance during this period was acceptable.
This report is available for review and comment at the Lake County Community Economic Development Department, 2293 North Main Street, Room A-310, Crown Point, IN 46307 and at the Main Lake County Public Library at 1919 West 81st Avenue, Merrillville, IN 46410 and online at www.lakecountyin.gov.
